Paiton Energy - PT POMI participated in the 2020 National Waste Care Day (HPSN) held at Sengkaling Recreation Park, Dau District, Malang Regency on Tuesday (18 February 2020). In this event, the East Java Trash Innovation and Waste Distribution Movement (Sidowati) was introduced to the community and environmental caders of East Java.
The Governor of East Java, Khofifah Indar Parawansa, attended the event and gave a commemorative speech at this event. Taking the theme of "Clean Indonesia, Advanced Indonesia, Prosperous Indonesia", HPSN is expected to be an inspiration for the public to innovate in waste management. In addition, Governor Khofifah also stressed the importance of building infiltration wells and bio-pores to anticipate flooding, especially in large cities that have high population densities. Governor Khofifah symbolically made a bio-pores hole as a form of water conservation efforts.
The HPSN 2020 commemoration event was attended by representatives from the District / City DLH in East Java and cadres of Clean and Sustainable Villages in each Regency / City. In the event, a symbolic award was presented from Paiton Energy - PT POMI to serial cadres of Probolinggo Regency. The prizes were 100 sorted waste bins, 150 trash bins, 30 drum composter, 1 trolley for the Community of Garbage Bank Community of Probolinggo District, MTsN 1 Probolinggo and Green Studio. The handover was carried out by the Head of DLH of East Java Province, Diah Susilowati, accompanied by the Head of DLH of Probolinggo Regency and the CSR Manager of Paiton Energy - PT POMI, Bambang Jiwantoro.
